A Special Church In The Park

This Sunday Arborway is doing something special: We’re having church at Mozart Park!
 
We are so blessed to normally have church service in the comfort of our building… so why would we take the effort to set up and do a service in the park?
 
First and foremost, we’re on a mission to preach the gospel to every person in JP. I know we will have people join us for worship that would not have otherwise.
 
Second, for the past four years we’ve been doing regular outreach and ministry in Mozart Park. It’s become our church’s second home. We’ve given away school supplies, watched movies, and played basketball. We believe it’s only natural for us to do a worship service there.
 
Third, it is a great reminder that Arborway isn’t a building. Arborway is a group of people on mission in Jamaica Plain. Church in the Park allows us to get out of our comfort zones and go into the neighborhood.
 
Ok, let me answer some questions for you:
 
What time do we start? 10:30 AM
 
Where is Mozart Park? 10 Mozart Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
 
What if I’m serving, should I come? Yes, if you’re serving, please show up by 9:30 AM to help us prep.
 
Will there be anything for kids? YES! Mrs. Allie and her team will have Arbor Kids on the playground in Mozart, they’ll be learning a lesson and having a blast (Just like normal).
 
Should I bring a chair? Yes. We will be providing very limited seating, but unless you want to stand the whole time, I would bring a camping chair or a blanket to sit on.
 
Can I invite people? Of course! This service is completely open to the public.
 
What about parking? There is street parking all around Mozart Park and down Centre Street. You can also park in the municipal lot at 350 Centre St., Jamaica Plain.
